This is called a favicon, (16X16 Pixel image with a .ico file extension) and they appear in the top left corner of the address bar in most browsers, and in your visitors bookmark list.

Cut and paste the code in between your header tags, butI've found it's best placed just before the closing head tag. For example, my facicon of the little podcast mic was added using the code below. Blogger will change " " to ' ' , so if it doesn't work straight away, try tweaking the code a bit.
